Our History

Colonie residents may remember Veeder's Restaurant, an iconic landmark for over 50 years. Harold and Pearl Veeder repeatedly invested in their property and created a longstanding community treasure. The property later became home to The Lighting Place. After a major remodel, John Cannon opened Cannon Funeral Home in 2017 at 2020 Central Avenue.

Our funeral home was designed with you in mind. It includes two large chapels for funeral and memorial ceremonies, a reception room, a variety of tastefully appointed spaces for family and visitors to gather, and a large, well-lit parking area.
