David S. Chin

Colonie - On Thursday, January 20, 2022, David Chin, loving husband and father of two children passed away at the age of 44.

Dave was born on July 30, 1977 in Seoul, Korea. His family moved to Bronx, NY when Dave was two years old. Dave received his bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in Computer Science. He led a distinguished career in Information Technology at NBC, Marriott and Madison Square Garden. On August 19, 2012, he married Judy Lau. He was a wonderful father to daughter Lillian, and son, Nathan.

Dave is a self-described introvert but you would never be able to tell by his boisterous laugh, flair for telling stories, and magnetic personality. He was a big kid at heart. He enjoyed fishing and golfing, a nice glass of whisky, good pizza and sandwiches, lots of movies and TV shows, and online gaming.

Dave is survived by his parents Yong Duk and Sun Ki, his wife Judy, his two children, Lillian (Lily) and Nathan (Nate Nate), and his sister Suzie (Chang).

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Dave’s family on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie.
