Charles E. Moore

NEWTONVILLE -Charles “Chuck” Edward Moore, Jr.,

peacefully surrounded by his family, Chuck passed away at the age of 77 at his home.

A graduate of Vincentian Institute and Siena College, Chuck owned and operated Capitaland Tire in Latham from 1977 to present day.

He was a Vietnam Veteran who served with the 1018 unit in De Nang.

He was the son of Margaret Moore and brother to Judith Hinnerman. He was the husband of Carol Brennan Moore. He was pre-decreased by his son Charles Brendan and will be dearly missed by his 7 other children:  Dr. Kelly Moore (Richard Pogue), Dr.  Courtenay Moore (Dr. Michael Gong), Justin Moore, SFC (Shannon Moore), Ryan Moore (Kathryn Moore), Deidre Gilchrist (Ted Gilchrist), Conor Moore (Rita Moore) and Bridget Moore (Paul Ryan).

Chuck was known as “Poppy” and will be lovingly remembered by his 14 grandchildren: Michael, Kathryn, Maddox, Brennan, Declan, Iris, Henry, Gavin, Saoirse, Ryan, Thomas, Payton, Eamon and Addison.

Special thanks to his office manager of over 20 years Cheryl Seeberger and John Morgiewicz who have faithfully run his business due to his deteriorating health.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Chuck’s family on Sunday at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumite Rd. Loudonville from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Please enter from the front doorway. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10:30 at St. Pius X Church. The Mass can be viewed at  https://www.stpiusxloudonville.org/new-live-videos/   Interment will follow at 1:30 pm at Saratoga National VA Cemetery.
