Yvonne Orsini

Duanesburg – Yvonne Orsini, 87, of Duanesburg, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 6, 2023.

Born in Fonda, NY, Yvonne was the daughter of the late William and Alice Maust Carpenter. Yvonne attended Hope College in Michigan, was employed for several years with New York Telephone, and later prepared taxes for H&R Block. She was a caring volunteer, mentoring school children through the Kids Hope program.

Yvonne placed family above all else, creating something really beautiful. She loved hosting Christmas over the years, and spending Thanksgivings with her dear in-laws, the McCarthys. She enjoyed gardening, wildlife around the farm, cooking for family and trying new recipes. Yvonne’s desserts were legendary.

Yvonne is the beloved wife of Orlando Orsini for 60 years. She met Lon through friends gathered at the Taft Hotel bar in NYC. They shared a love of sports cars with Yvonne driving a Triumph, and Lon a Jaguar. They continued going out on Friday-night dates through to this year.

Yvonne is the loving mother of Stacy Orsini (Scott Brodie), Christian Orsini, and Doug Orsini. She is the cherished step-grandmother of Ben Brodie. Yvonne is the sister of the late Bob, Wayne, Emery, and Harold Carpenter. She is survived by several devoted nieces and nephews.
