William "Bill" F. Carmody

COLONIE – William “Bill” F. Carmody, 63, of Colonie, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at his residence. He was born in Albany and is the son of the late Francis J. and Virginia Carmody. Bill is the brother of the late Michael and James Carmody, Linda Hope (Steve survives).

Bill was a longtime employee for Price Chopper warehouse in Rotterdam. He was an avid sports fan and known for his remarkable sports trivia knowledge. Bill cherished his grandchildren and enjoyed crossword puzzles. He rode ambulance and was a volunteer firefighter and more recently, a social member of the West Albany Fire Dept.

Bill is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sue Gardner Carmody. He is the father of Frank, Chris and Kate Carmody. He is the grandfather of Hayden and Kylie. Bill is the brother of Thomas (Robin) Carmody, Jeannie (Cos) Lorica, Lillian Hughes (late Gene), Laura Carmody and Cathy (Mike) Carlson. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Relatives and friends may visit with Bill’s family on Wednesday from 4 to 7pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie.
