COLONIE- William A Pink 81, of Colonie, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at his residence, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Edward A and Dorothy Pink. Bill proudly served in the US Army from 1962 through 1965.He was employed as a bus driver with CDTA for over thirty years. Bill was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and the New York Giants. Bill enjoyed fishing and making his famous Christmas cookies.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of 54 years Virginia Pink in 2020, his sisters Shirley Luciano, Gloria Pink, and Joan Pink. Bill is a devoted father of Debbie Fountain, Patti (Keith) Ballard, Edward Pink, and June (Wade) Champagne. He is the loving brother of Ginny Gartzke and Liz Hogan. Bill is survived by his 12 grandchildren, Douglas, Rebecca, John, Nick, Steven, Adam, Tamara, Cole, Aaron, Kylee, Lanie, and Eddie (Bubba). He is also survived by his 8 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Bill’s family on Monday July 24th from 4-7pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave, Colonie. Interment will be in Saratoga National VA Cemetery.
