William H. Mink Sr.

SCHENECTADY – William H. Mink Sr., 86, of Schenectady, passed away suddenly on Monday January 8, 2018. He was born in Albany and was the son of the late William H. and Frances A. Ellers Mink.
Bill served in the US Army from 1948 through 1954. He also served as a Seabee during an extended career with the US Navy Reserves. Bill was a mechanic with Mobil Oil Corp at the Port of Albany for many years. He was a member of the VFW Post 8692 in Colonie. He loved camping, traveling and taking a cruise. While in Florida, he enjoyed working for Disney and the good life. Bill always cherished his time with his family.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Elizabeth G. Smith Mink. He is the devoted father of William H. Mink Jr., Gregory A. Mink and Judith A. Mink. He is the brother of Frances Mink House. Grandfather of Jennifer A., William D. and David M. Mink and Christopher Blesse.
Calling hours will be Friday evening for 4 to 7 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. Tribute services will begin at 6:30 on Friday evening at the funeral home.
