Warren J. Turner

LATHAM – Warren J. Turner, 70, of Latham, passed way On Thursday, July 19, 2018 at the Van Rensselaer Manor after battling a long illness. He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Warren and Augusta Turner.

Warren served in the US Navy during the Vietnam war. He was employed for many years at  NYS Office of Children & Family Services.. Warren is the former husband of the late Rise Turner.

He is the father of Jennifer (Todd) Friend, John Turner and Jean Turner. Warren is the grandfather of Todd Jr. and Mikayla Friend. He is the brother of the late Georgette Dickinson. Jennifer would like to thank the wonderful staff at Van Rensselaer Manor and the VA Hospital for their kind and caring support.

Funeral services will be Monday at 12 noon at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. Visitation will be Monday from 10 am to 12 noon at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Colonie. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Warren J. Turner.
