Thomas H. Reedy Sr.

Colonie - Thomas H. Reedy, Sr., 90, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2021 at St. Peter’s Hospital.

Thomas grew up in Albany and served as a medical technician in the US Army. He was honorably discharged in 1959.

In earlier years, he was employed at Wendall Cadillac in Albany.  He retired as a maintenance man from Albany County Nursing Home.

He was an avid sports fan routing for his Mets, Syracuse, and NY Giants.  He was always caring for others and putting others first even until his final days.  Thomas will always be remembered for his love of parades, puzzles, and his huge heart.

Thomas was a devoted husband to his “Queen” of 69 years, Dora Reedy; a devoted father to his sons: Thomas, James (Shelly), John and David Reedy; His grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers Edward and Ervin Reedy as well as several nieces, nephews, and many friends that have turned into family throughout the years.

He was pre-deceased by his mother Lottie, his father Raymond Sr., brothers Raymond, William, and Richard and his sisters: Doris, Jean, and Charlotte.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10am Friday, Nov 19 at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Avenue, Colonie. Burial with full military honors will follow at 12 Noon at the Saratoga National Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held from 4:00pm to 8:00pm Thursday, Nov. 18 at the funeral home.
