Thomas R. Plourde

d. January 14, 2023

It is with sadness that I announce that my younger brother, Thomas Plourde (66) passed away at his home on January 14, 2023.

Tom was a lifelong N.Y. Giants fan in addition to being an avid adventurer of the Adirondacks. He enjoyed spending time in the woods amongst the wildlife as well as hunting. His love of the Giants came from his father who every Sunday during the football season would have the game on the TV. Tom was a very accomplished carpenter who was able to make a room look beautiful with very little effort.

One of his pride and joys was his son, Harrison, who is Assistant Director for the El Paso Metropolitan Planning Organization. Tom loved his son in his own special way. Tom was taken early and will be missed by many and we wish him well on his next journey.

He is predeceased by his father Joseph A. Plourde and his mother Edith Plourde (Lewandowski).

Tom is survived by his son Harrison Plourde, brothers Peter (Janet) Plourde and Wayne (Mary) Plourde; nieces and nephews Kathryn Shoemaker, James (Michelle) Plourde, great-nieces and nephews Alyssa Shoemaker, Grant Shoemaker, Ceileigh and Cadence Plourde.

A calling hour will be held on Thursday January 19 from 11:00am to 12 Noon at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Avenue, Colonie. Interment will be in Memory Gardens in Colonie.
