Glenmont - Sadly, we announce the death of Tom Holmes on February 6, 2018 in Glenmont, N.Y.
Having a Fourth of July birthday so pleased Tom being the proud patriot that he was. Tom was 71 years old. Tom was the only child of Oliver Wendall Holmes and Ann Holmes. He was raised in Delmar and lived there for many years. Tom proudly served in the United States Marine Corps seeing action in Vietnam. When Tom returned, he became a lineman for Niagra Mohawk for many years.  During that time, he met his lifelong friends Rick Ragone and Sean Egan. Tom was an outdoorsman who loved camping and kayaking, fishing and hunting. The camaraderie experienced at the VFW Post in Delmar provided great enjoyment for Tom and led to his friendship with Matt Ragon and Skip Pafundi. Tom will be missed by his dear friend Nancy Thompson who gave care and comfort to Tom.  They had many good times together.  Funeral services will be on Wednesday, March 14,  2018, 11:30 AM at Saratoga National Cemetery.       Semper Fi.
