Theresa Muia

ALBANY – Theresa A. Muia, 62, of Albany, died peacefully on Monday February 7th, 2022, at Shaker Place Rehabilitation, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Albany.  Theresa had attended the Sunshine School and worked at the Center for Disability Services for many years.

Theresa enjoyed bowling in her youth and drawing with her favorite pens and pads.  She loved to paint while listening to her favorite songs.

She is the beloved daughter of Jean Barranca Muia and the late James Muia.  Theresa is the sister of James (Luisa) Muia and the late Peter Muia and Mary Muia Kehrer (Peter Kehrer survives).  She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be private.  There will be no calling hours. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Disability Services, 314 South Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208 in memory of Theresa A.
