Watervliet- Teresa Jean Ashline 60, passed away on Saturday July 1, 2023 at the home she grew up in surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on July 8, 1962, the second child of Carol Mullaney Ashline and Robert H Ashline, Sr. Teresa attended St. Brigid School in Watervliet, Keveny Memorial Academy in Cohoes and State University of Albany.
Teresa lived a life of vitality. Her strength and energy were present and part of anything and everything that she became involved in. Whether she was hiking the peaks of the Adirondacks or event planning and fundraising for the seniors she loved so much, her determination and diligence were second to none. She worked alongside her mother and father for many years at Ashline Moving in Watervliet. Teresa was also the beloved executive director of the Watervliet Senior Center for several years growing the membership there through love, kindness and compassion for all. In more recent years she was employed as a program director for Catholic Charities in Schenectady, NY, the head concierge for Deaconess Abundant Life Communities in Concord Mass. as well as a Project Manager with Big Brothers and Sisters at Siena College in Loudonville, NY.
Teresa had a smile that could light up the room and would be greatly missed as will her incredible sense of style. She was predeceased by her father Robert Ashline, Sr. She is survived by her mother Carol Mullaney Ashline of Watervliet; her husband Russell Farron of Watervliet: her brothers Robert Ashline Jr. (Theresa) of Halfmoon and Alfred Ashline (Margaret) of Smithfield, Rhode Island; niece Maggie Ashline of Halfmoon; nephews Kevin Ashline of San Jose, California and Terence Ashline of Jacksonville, Florida; great nieces Gianna and Vivienne Saccucci of Halfmoon and great nephews Benjamin and VIncent Ashline of Jacksonville, Florida. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins especially her cousins Helena and Leslie with whom she had many memorable adventures as well as her friends Missy, Ann and Kelly. Throughout her lifetime Teresa loved and cared for several special dogs. She survived by her rescue Cooperdoodle.
Teresa’s family would like to give a special thank you to Kelly Daineault for the incredible tender love and care that she gave to Teresa during her last days.
The Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 10:30 am at St Ambrose Catholic Church 347 Old Loudon Rd Latham NY. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave. Colonie.
