Susan M. Restifo

Niskayuna – Susan M. Restifo, 73, of Niskayuna, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 24, 2023 surrounded by her family.

She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Howard and Viola Warner. Susan was predeceased by her beloved husband Angelo S. Restifo in 2020. She was a graduate of SUNY Plattsburgh where she earned a degree in education. Sue worked as the Director of the Niskayuna Community Day Care for over twenty-five years.

Sue was devoted to her family. Sunday dinners were a treasured time and she basked in the joy of being together. Sue was an amazing cook and made the best meatballs and chocolate cream pie, that Nick and Laura will continue to try and perfect in her memory. She loved her fall trips to Maine with her cousins and summers in LBI with her family. Sue also enjoyed an occasional venture to play the slots machines at the casino. She would sit for hours at a machine while Angelo watched sipping his coffee.

Left behind to treasure Sue’s memory are her children,  Laura (Eric) O’Hearn and Nicholas (Erica) Restifo and her brother, Nicholas Warner. She will lovingly be remembered as Grandma Sue to Dante, Alexis, Hunter and Haley. Special thanks to her cousins, Pat (Maureen) Fragomeni, Charlotte (Bill) Hasselbarth and dear friends, Lester (Maria) Betor, for their visits and continuous support.

Besides her parents and husband, Sue was predeceased by her brothers, James and Jeffrey Warner.

Friends and family are invited to visit with Sue’s family on Friday April 28th from 1 to 4 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave. Colonie.
