Susan M. Patterson

Colonie - Susan Patterson, 67, of Colonie, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on July 10, 2024.

Born in Colonie, she was the daughter of the late David and Rita Hatlee. She graduated from Colonie Central High School in 1974, and she worked for the New York State Workers Compensation Board for over 30 years. While working for the State, she met the love of her life, Scott Patterson. They were married for 38 years.

Susan was deeply rooted in her faith and was a devoted attendee of Christ the King Church in Guilderland, and she served on the Christ the King staff after her state retirement. She loved running, planting flowers in her yard and going for Jeep rides around Saratoga Lake.

She is survived by her beloved Scott, as well as her daughters, Sara and Kelly (James) Dewey, sons Scott and Steven (Chris), and grandchildren Adam, Andrew, Matthew (Samantha), Kate, Daniel, and Claire. Susan is the sister of Thomas (Tina) Hatlee and the late Michael Hatlee.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 11:00 at Christ the King Church, Guilderland. Livestreaming of the funeral mass will be provided on the parish website www.ctkparishny.org. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Susan’s family on Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:45 at Christ the King Church, Guilderland. Interment will be in Memory Gardens.
