Stephen J. Schultz, 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the Albany County Nursing Home.
He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Stephen and Sophie Schultz. Stephen was an honorably discharged veteran of the US Army. He had worked as a lineman for AT & T for many years in Albany. Stephen enjoyed trips to Maine, gardening and he loved his Buick’s. He was predeceased by his wife Barbara in 2010. Stephen is the brother of the late Agnes, Theresa and Janet. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Pallative Care and Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of Stephen.
Funeral services will be Monday morning at 8:30 at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave, Colonie then to St. Clare’s Church at 9:00 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Sunday from 3 to 5 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Albany Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers and in keeping with Stephen’s wishes, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany 310 S.
