Shannon M. Hennessy

COLONIE – Shannon Marie Hennessy, 40, of Colonie, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at her residence.

She was born in Albany and is the loving daughter of Denise O’Brien and the late Timothy O’Brien. Shannon was known for her kindness, generosity, and her selfless demeanor. She was devoted to the care and love of her cherished family. Shannon enjoyed long car rides and exploring with her family. She had worked for ten years at New York State Teacher’s Retirement, where she loved her work, and her coworkers loved her.

Shannon is the beloved wife of John Hennessy. She is the devoted mother of Caitlyn Rose-Marie Hennessy and Logan Hennessy. Shannon is the sister of Timothy P. (Beth) O’Brien Jr. She is the loving aunt of Timothy P. O’Brien III and Riley O’Brien. Shannon is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Shannon’s family on Sunday from 2 to 5 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. Memorial contributions may be made to the Logan Hennessy Education Fund, c/o any Broadview Credit Union branch.
