Sandra M. Meisner

Colonie - Sandra Meisner, 79, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday May 16th, 2023.

Sandra was the daughter of the late George and Mary Hinckley.

Sandra had many hobbies including watching her favorite New York sports teams, the Giants and Yankees, watching the ducks at the Crossings, endlessly scratching scratch offs, and playing the slot machines at the casino. She was an icon for Colonie Pop Warner Cheerleading. Whether it was cleaning uniforms or sewing them, she made sure everyone felt their best for competitions. Disney was a place Sandy adored. Mickey Mouse and Goofy will forever hold a special place in her heart.

Sandra left her mark on every person she met. Her generosity never went unnoticed, always making sure there was enough food to feed the neighborhood. Her family will always remember her famous fruit salad.

Greater than anything else was Sandra’s love and devotion to her friends and family. Sandra is predeceased by her beloved husband Edward J. Meisner Sr. of 52 years. She is survived by her three children, Edward (Bridgett) Meisner, Christine Prime, and Thomas Meisner, and her sister Judy Lennon. She was blessed with 5 grandchildren; Marissa (Ryan) Bowers, Nicholas (Akina) Meisner, Annie (Matt) Carr, Lindsey (Dan) Dugan, Mark Stiffen, and three great grandchildren; Hailey, Brooke, and Aiva. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and family and friends that will deeply miss her beautiful soul.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday May 24th from 3pm-6pm at Cannon Funeral Home 2020 Central Ave, Colonie. A burial service will be held at 9:00am Thursday May 25th at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Colonie.
