Sandra L. Barnett

COLONIE – Sandra L. Barnett, 78, of Colonie, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at Shaker Place Nursing Center.

She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Rene and Germaine Beaupre. Sandra was a longtime active member of St. Clare’s Church. Known as Grandma Cookie as she loved to bake. Sandra also enjoyed playing bingo with her friends.

She is the beloved wife of the late Joseph P. Barnett Sr. She is survived by her daughter Renee L. Barnett (Edward Small) and Renee’s children Taylor S. and Jeffrey J. Tope; her son Joseph P. (Lisa) Barnett Jr. Sandra is the mother of the late Michelle McLaughlin and Lisa M. McNulty. She is the sister-in-law of Susan Bialobzeski. Sandra is the lifelong friend of Marge Heather and Lorraine Endries. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday afternoon at 1:30 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. Visitation will be Friday from 11: 30 am to 1:30 pm at the funeral home.
