Ruth M. Ouimet

Ruth Marie Austin Ouimet entered into the Presence of the Lord September 5, 2024

Born 10/10/1938 in Cambridge, NY to Merrit Austin and Marguerite Morse and grew up in Greenwich NY and graduated from Greenwich School, where she was a Cheerleader and an accomplished Violinist in the school orchestra and string Quartet.

She graduated from the Executive Secretarial program at Albany Business College and worked for the State Police and Learning Disabilities Associations.

Ruth married the love of life John (Jack) Ouimet September 1, 1962, and were happily married for 62 years.

An active, friendly, outgoing personable lady, Ruth enjoyed walking, bike riding, dancing, going out to dinner, cooking and caring for her family and was a member of the Silver Sneakers.

Survived by her loving husband, John R. Ouimet and only daughter Lisa Ouimet Logiudice (Joseph) and her brothers Elton Austin, Frank Austin (Myrtle), sister Betty Schwartz (Barry), predeceased by brother Earl Austin (Betty).
