R. Richard Boehlke

Colonie - R. Richard Boehlke, 73, passed away Monday, April 19, 2021 at his home following a period of declining health.

Born and raised in Albany, he was the son of Louis & Joyce Boehlke. After graduating from South Colonie High School in 1966, he enlisted in the US Air Force, serving until 1975 as an aircraft radio repairman.

For more than 30 years, Richard was employed as a service technician with IBM, retiring in 2007.

He was an avid craftsman who enjoyed woodworking, tile setting, and various home improvements.

Besides his parents, he is pre-deceased by a sister Gail Cristello.

He leaves his loving wife (of 40 years & 8 months) Pamela A. (Kaherl);

Daughters: Michele (Bruce) Donnelly and Robyn (Gino Marotta) Bulkeley; Son: Christopher A. (Krista) Boehlke.

Grandchildren: Alexander Salsburg & Meghan Donnelly, Gino, Anthony, and Adrianna Marotta as well as great-grandchildren Gino, Rocco, & Carson Marotta.

A brother Chester “Chet” (Sharon) Boehlke and sister Elizabeth “Betty” Rutland; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held at 11am Monday, April 26 at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave, Colonie.  A Committal Service with Military Honors will be held at 1:30 pm Monday, April 26 at Saratoga National Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 3:00pm to 6:00pm Sunday, April 25 at the funeral home.
