Robert J. (Ziggy) Tefft, 84, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022.

He was the son of the late Kenneth B. Tefft and Fredericka Baldwin Tefft of Cohoes.

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran who cruised 78,000 miles mostly in European waters.

He was a retired Federal Employee since 1998.

Ziggy enjoyed life to the fullest and enjoyed traveling and helping others. He was also an avid golfer and pool player.

He is survived by his daughters Cheryl A. Baitsholts (Ray) of Rensselear, Janice M. Tefft of Brunswick and his son Thomas R. Tefft (Roseann) of Pittstown. He is the Grandfather of Tyler Jacob Baitsholts, Stepfather to Susan Formichelli of Rotterdam Junction and Christine Suriano (James) of Rotterdam. Ziggy is also survived by 6 Grandchildren, 10 Great-Grandchildren; brother of Patricia Bougeois; and uncle to several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 11am Friday, June 3 at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Avenue, Colonie. A calling hour will be held from 10am to 11am prior to the service. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Park, Colonie.
