Robert George "Bob" Edwards

Colonie - Robert G. “Bob” Edwards, 64, of Bridle Path passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at his home following a couregous battle with renal cancer.

Born on August 16, 1957 in Albany, NY, he was the son of George and Eileen (Boule) Edwards.

Bob grew up in Albany and was a 1976 graduate of South Colonie High School. On August 19, 1978, he married his best friend and soulmate Patricia “Pat” Quinlivan.

He was employed for over 35 years at the SI Group in Rotterdam Junction until his illness forced him to retire.

He was an avid Sports fan of the NY Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys.

A Wednesday evening tradition was gathering with friends to play horseshoes and darts.

Bob was a family-oriented man and his grandchildren were his greatest joy.

Besides his parents, he is pre-deceased by a sister Rosemary Kenyon.

He leaves his loving wife of 43 years, Pat; a daughter Erin (Rick) Edwards-Espey; a son Ryan (Michele) Edwards; grandchildren: Katelyn, Keira, Jackson, and Mackenzie; siblings: Janet Kaiser, Beverly Havens, Judy (Ed) Richardson, Larry (Barbara) Edwards, and Mark (Sheri) Edwards as well as several nieces and nephews and his faithful companion “Jameson”.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at St. Madeline Sophie Church, 3500 Carmen Road, Schenectady. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Schenectady.

Calling hours will be held from 4:00pm to 7:00pm Monday, December 27 at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Avenue, Colonie.
