Rita C. Milham

COLONIE – Rita C. Milham, 101, of Colonie, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 09, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Louise McGrath. Rita graduated from Albany High School and Mildred Elley Business Institute. She had worked for New York Telephone before raising her children. Rita returned to work as a bookkeeper and eventually as Metro Manager with Sherwin Williams Paint Company. She was later employed by the Learning Center for many years.

Rita was predeceased by her husband Raymond E. Milham, her son Raymond S. Milham Sr. and her grandson, William H. Milham. She is the beloved mother of Robert F. (MaryLou) Milham, Richard J. (Eileen) Milham, Ronald P. (Dawn) Milham and Rita M. (Anthony) Schipano. Rita is the sister of the late Margaret Moore & Mary Louise Halligan. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, 4 nephews and a niece. Rita was the dear friend of 71 years to Natalie Greene.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Rita’s family on Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 10:00 at Christ the King Church, Guilderland. Interment will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Oswego at a later date.
