Richard J. Warner, Sr.

COLONIE – Richard J. Warner Sr., 85, of Colonie, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 12, 2024 at St. Peter’s Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

He was born in New Milford, CT and was the son of the late James and Clarabell Warner. Dick was a 1957 graduate of Philip Schuyler High School. He entered the US Army before joining the Reserves. Dick attended HVCC for Electrical Design. He had worked for Kasselman Electric and Central Markets before becoming Chief Electrical Engineer for Golub Corp.

Dick enjoyed fishing, boating, tinkering and traveling. He was devoted to his family and always ready to help with everyone’s home improvement.

Dick is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Rae Iadicicco Warner. He is the devoted father of Richard J. Warner Jr. and Susan (Victor) Beattie. Dick is the brother of Carol (Chuck) Burometto and the late Shirley (Kenny) Hoffman. He is the cherished grandfather of Jennifer Tenney, Richard K. Warner, Stephen Beattie and Ashley Warner. Dick is the brother-in-law of Maryann White. He is also survived by his former daughter-in-law Alesia Warner and 5 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Dick’s family on Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. Funeral services will be Friday morning at 11:00 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens.
