Richard D. Ogborn

COLONIE – Richard “Gink” Ogborn, 63, of Colonie, passed away Wednesday May 19, 2021 after a courageous one year battle with prostate cancer.

He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Donald J. and Susie A. Ogborn. Rick was a product specialist at Owens Corning in Selkirk for over forty years. He was a quiet guy who never spread gossip but loved to hear it. Rick enjoyed fishing, bowling (with a 300 game), annual vacations to Black Lake with Cindy and an occasional game of chance. Rick was a life member of the Albany Fish and Game Club. He was an avid New York Mets fan.

Rick is survived by his lifepartner, Cindy Baker; his siblings, Donald M. (Lynn) Ogborn of Old Forge, NY, Robert J. (Kathleen) Ogborn and Judy Ogborn both of Colonie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, the much loved Baker family and many longtime friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Rick’s family on Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. A prayer service will be offered at 6:00 at the funeral home.
