COLONIE - Richard T. Grace, 79, of Colonie, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Thomas A. and Grace Cooley Grace. Rich served the US Army during the Vietnam War. He retired as a locomotive engineer with CSX Railroad in Selkirk, after 35 years of service. Rich was an avid hunter. He was a devoted member of the Joseph E. Zaloga American Legion Post. Rich enjoyed trivia and was always posing what is “today’s question”. He was a Jeopardy enthusiast, often scheduling his day's events around the next show.

Rich is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Josephine Nautel Grace. He is the devoted father of Michelle (Randy) Hirsh and Thomas B. Grace. He is the cherished Poppy of Ashley Grace, Benjamin, Mirabelle and Eliana Price. He is the great grandfather of Jaxon and Landon. Rich is the brother of Diane Jensen.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, October 24, 2022 at 10:30 am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 607 Central Ave., Albany. Interment will follow at Albany Rural Cemetery.
