Raymond W. Ashley, Jr.

Colonie - Raymond W. Ashley, Jr., 81,  of Hackett Avenue, passed away Sunday evening (August 23, 2020) at his home.

Born on October 6, 1938 in Albany, NY, he was the son of Raymond W. and Margaret M. (Burns) Ashley, Sr.

Raymond was a lifelong resident of the area and retired from the Albany City School District where he was employed as a janitor.

Besides his parents, he is pre-deceased by his wife Jane; brothers: Joseph, Johnnie and John; a sister Patricia Lipker and a nephew Edward Ashley, Jr.

He leaves his sister Margaret Pratt; brothers Edward Ashley and wife Patricia, Thomas Ashley, and James Paul Ashley as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 11am Friday, August 28 at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Avenue, Colonie. A calling hour will be held from 10-11am prior to the service. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Albany.
