Priscilla Aviza, 83, a longtime resident of Tremont Street passed away Friday, July 21, 2023 at St Peter’s Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She grew up in Cooperstown, NY and retired from the NYS Department of Health WIC Program.

Priscilla loved animals and doing puzzles. She was a member of the Albany Church of Christ.

Besides her parents, she is pre-deceased by her husband Bernard Aviza (1993), two brothers and a sister.

She leaves three daughters: Kerry Giardino, Pam Aviza, and Sharon (Dave) Hallam; four grandchildren John, Sarah, Abbi, James; brothers: Theodore Johnson, Gary Johnson, and Glenn Johnson; sisters June Rowley and Vivian Johnson; Sister-in-law Bernice Aviza; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on from 10:00am to 11:30am prior to the service at 11:30am on Thursday, July 27 at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Avenue, Colonie. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens.
