Peter K. Korunkiewich

Rotterdam - Peter K. Korunkiewich, age 49, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT.

Born in Portland Maine, Pete is the son of Roman and Sharon (Brooker) Korunkiewich of Schenectady.

Pete was a graduate of Mohonasen Central High School and Hudson Community College with an Associate’s degree in accounting.  He was a commercial realtor and developer for NAI Platform Realty Group for many years. He also worked for the local Assessor’s board with the Town of Rotterdam.

He enjoyed golfing, boating, fishing, kayaking and hunting as well as horse racing and going to Saratoga Race Track. He loved animals and spending time outdoors.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his life partner of 21 years, Debra Arganese, two stepdaughters, Lyndsay and Brittany Krisel, a sister, Carrie Donofrio, three nieces and a nephew, Jacob, Abbie, Elise Donofrio and Alaina Hilton as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00pm to 6:00pm Wednesday, August 18 at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Avenue, Colonie.

Memorial donations may be made to either Mohawk Hudson Humane Society or to the Animal Protective Foundation in Scotia.
