Peggy Yvonne Hall

Peggy Yvonne Hall was called to her final resting place with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 19, 2019 at Albany Medical Center.  She was born on June 3, 1945 to the late Lucious and Elizabeth Johnakin.

Peggy was born in Philadelphia, PA and educated in the Albany school system where she graduated from high school and was loved by many.  She later relocated to the Albany area and met and married Albert Hall in the early 70s.  To this union they were blessed with three beautiful children.

Peggy worked for many years at the New York State Archives until her retirement.  Peggy loved watching her favorite reality show, listening to her favorite R&B and Gospel music, and enjoyed eating her favorite foods.  Peggy will be remembered for her affectionate smile and her honesty about how she felt about you.

She leaves to cherish her memory, 2 children, Sonya R. Hall and Aaron J. Hall, both of Albany, NY.  Two sisters, Pamela Adams of Albany, NY and Kim Lyons of Schenectady, NY.  Grandchildren, Shaleah, Aaron Jr., Akai, NeAzjah Ahsande, Ahlaumion, Ahkandala, Azariah Hall.  Six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Albert Hall, her parents Lucious and Elizabeth Johnakin, her loving daughter Nicole Hall, her grandson Amir Hall, sisters Patricia Cohen and Sharon Mackey, and her beloved Aunt Dorothy Chapman.

Funeral services will be Monday morning at 11:00 at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave. Colonie. Visitation will be Monday from 9:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery.
