ROTTERDAM – Paul E. Ducharme, 87, of Rotterdam, passed away on Monday, September 02, 2024 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Taunton, MA and was the son of the late Eli and Annette Ducharme. Paul served in the US Army. As a youth, he was very active with the Boy Scouts and earned an Eagle Scout and enjoyed traveling to several jamborees. Paul was a Civil engineer with the New York State Department of Transportation for over thirty-five years. He was an avid outdoorsman. Paul was a Civil War enthusiast and a member of the Civil War Round Table.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Kathleen Quinlivan Ducharme and his son Brian Ducharme. Paul is the devoted father of Stephanie Cappuccitti (Billy Selig). He is the brother of Claire (Bill) Burchell and the late Jean King. Paul is the cherished Papa to Kristina Cappuccitti (Brian) and Matthew (Teyana) Cappuccitti and great grandchildren, Eli, and Kai.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Paul’s family on Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. A prayer service will follow at 12:30 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
