LATHAM – Patricia A. Romano, 56, of Latham, passed away on Sunday, May 09, 2021 at Samaritan Hospital with her children by her side.
Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late William and Patricia Taggart. Patty was a 1983 graduate of Shaker High School and earned her Paralegal degree. She had worked for many years at Hannaford Markets and more recently as a bartender at the Latham Colonie Knights of Columbus. Patty was a life member of the Fuller Rd. Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the K of C Columbiettes. She enjoyed music, camping and sitting by the fire. Patty dearly loved her children and grandchildren.
Patty is the mother of David (Nicole) Romano, Brittany (Michael) Westfall and Alexandria (Brian) Derochie. She is the cherished Tutu of Mason, Ryan, Roman, Gregory, Madilyn, Ryder and Rhegan. Patty is the sister of Janis (Joseph) Mitola and the aunt of Jessica Allen and Johnna Mitola. She is the longtime companion of George Bush.
Patty’s family wishes to thank all of the wonderful and caring staff at Samaritan Hospital ICU unit, especially Crystal.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Patty’s family on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave. Colonie. Face masks are required and social distancing will be observed. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 10:30 at St. Pius X Church, Crumite Rd. Loudonville. Please enter the church from the front doorway, masks and social distancing are required; church ambassadors will be available to help with seating and questions; please attempt to arrive before 9:45 am.
