Patricia McGuire Lanphear, age 81, died Monday, January 8, 2024 at the Schenectady Center for Rehabilitation.

She was the daughter of Edward and Helen (Kennedy) McGuire of Albany, NY.

Pat was a graduate of Vincentian Institute in Albany and was then employed for many years by the New York State Department of Health in Albany.

She was a longtime communicant of Christ the King Church in Guilderland. She also enjoyed playing bridge.

Besides her parents, she is preceeded in death by a sister Claire Romaine and her dear Aunt Lillian Kennedy.

She is survived by her husband Gary Lanphear of Albany and her two sons: Gary E. (Cheryl) Lanphear of Angola, NY and Gregory C. (Scott) Lanphear of Millerton, NY. She was truly fond of her nephew Josh Lanphear of Florida and her two nieces: Katlyn Lanphear of Buffalo and Erin (Michael) Patridge and sons of Boston, NY; brother and sister in laws Larry and Margaret Lanphear of Minerva, NY and Roy and Barbara Holmes of Dover Plains, NY.

As per her request, there will be no services.

A special thanks to her companion Art Nuss for his care of her.  Her cat Duffy will miss her.

Donations can be made in her honor to the Animal Shelter of your choice.
