Pamela A. Murphy, 76, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at the Village at Eddy Green in Cohoes surrounded by her family.
Born on August 5, 1945, she was the daughter of William and Marijean (Stack) Murphy.
Pam grew up in Colonie and was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Schenectady.
She retired from the New York State Department of State where she was employed as a clerk and business document specialist.
She was a proud member of CSEA Local 999 and the Colonie Elks Club.
Her favorite past times included trips to Cape Cod, the NY Yankees, and music by Englebert Huperdinck. She was a devoted communicant of the Church of St. Clare in Colonie.
Besides her parents, she is pre-deceased by a sister Bonnie Jean Murphy.
She is survived by her siblings Patrick J. (Susan) Murphy of DE, William P. (Deirdre) Murphy of East Schodack, Mary Jo Humphrey of Cohoes, Regina (Stephen) Kasper of Loudonville, and Matthew J. (Tracy) Murphy of Ballston Spa as well as several nieces, nephews, and grandnieces.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00am Saturday, September 25, 2021 at The Church of St. Clare, 1947 Central Avenue, Colonie. Burial will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
Calling hours will be held from 4:00pm to 7:00pm Friday, September 24 at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Avenue, Colonie.
