Neida Luz Roldan, 78, passed away Monday, May 30, 2022.

She was born on September 5, 1943 near San Pedro, Puerto Rico and moved to New York when she was 12 years old.

For many years, she was employed in the housekeeping department at Albany Medical Center Hospital and at the Desmond Hotel.

Neida will be remembered as a hard-working woman, for her good cooking, and most important, as being a “beloved mother”.

Many family members including her husband Francisco Roman; sons Frank Serrano and Anthony Serrano; sisters Hilda and Juanita and a brother Neddy all pre-deceased her.

Survivors include her sons: Albert Serrano, Jeffrey Lee (Kelly) Roman, and Eric (Hope) Roman; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister Cruzita and a brother Louis; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held from 10:00am to 11:30am followed by a service at 11:30am on Sunday, June 5 at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Avenue, Colonie. Burial will follow at Park View Cemetery in Schenectady.
