Natalie M. Greene

COLONIE – Natalie M. Greene, 96, of Colonie, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in her beloved Whitehall, NY and was the daughter of the late William and Mary Barker.

Natalie was predeceased by her husband Thomas Greene and her son, Scott Greene. She is the devoted mother of Michael (Noko) Greene, Johnny (Francine) Greene, Chrissie (Harley) Merrill, Patty (Michael) Hay, Tommy (Natalie) Greene, Jimmy (Madeline) Greene, Mary Greene, Linda (Tom) Rock, Kathy (John) Gehres and Natalie (Brendan) McNeil. As the last of the Barker girls, she was predeceased by her sisters, Kathleen Taft, Mary Galarneau, Teresa Loos and Jean Serritella and her dear, lifelong friend Rita Milham. Natalie is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Mom was full of life, always on the move. She was proud to be from Whitehall and enjoyed many summers at her camp on Hadlock Pond, instigating water fights and being the Queen of the dock by throwing her kids off the dock. She loved to go out to dinner, patronizing almost every restaurant in the Capital District.

Natalie’s legacy lives on in her children, grandchildren and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit and strength will remain with us always.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Natalie’s family on Monday from 4 to 7 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave. Colonie. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 11:00 am at Christ the King Church, Sumter Ave., Guilderland.
