Mary Catherine Hill

ALBANY -  Mary Catherine Hill lost her long time struggle with her addiction and was taken home to her Heavenly Father where she has been granted the peace and love she deserves.

Mary was the daughter Alice Carmody Hill and John J Hill.  She graduated from Cardinal McCloskey Memorial High School and was very proud to establish her career as a dispatcher with the New York State Police for over 20 years.  She was an avid golfer and was extremely proud of the Hole in One she shot at the Whispering Pines Golf Club.  Mary was a very caring person and dedicated her life to caring for her parents.  Her sisters Patty and Arlene are very grateful to her for this sacrifice.   Mary was a lifetime communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church where she found a sense of peace during her troubled life.

Mary is predeceased by her Mother, Alice Carmody Hill and her father, John J Hill.  She is survived by her sisters Patricia (John) Ellsbury of Schenectady, NY and Arlene (Alan) Berger of Chesapeake, VA.  Mary is also survived by her dear Aunt, Patricia Carmody and Uncle, Donald (Marilyn) Carmody.  She also leaves behind four nieces, one nephew, 3 great nieces, 3 great nephews and numerous cousins.

Patty and Arlene would like to thank a special cousin, Laura Carmody and a friend, Marsha for standing by Mary through very difficult times.  A very sincere thank you to our brother Patrick Hourigan and his wife Patty who have watched over our sister and us with the love and strength that we sometimes lacked.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at 10:30 am at Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany. Interment will be private.
