Mary C. Hart

Schenectady – Mary C. Hart, 71, passed away peacefully in her sleep after a long illness at home with her family on Thursday, September, 29, 2022. Mary worked for New York State Department of Tax & Finance, Office of Counsel for 39 years. She also worked in various retail settings for forty years.

Mary is predeceased by her parents John and Manuella (Sierra) Sears, as well as her grandmother Maria Martinez. She is the mother of Thomas (Michelle) Hart, grandmother to Thomas III, Saphire, Alexa and Camran and great grandmother to Noah and Keenan.

She is the sister of Cindy M. Sears, and Steven (Florence St. Pierre) Sears, the aunt of Erica and Joe Kazlo (Amelia & Joey), Erin and Craig Allison (Tristan) and John-Roch Sears. She also leaves behind several cousins and dear friends. A special thank you to her best friend Pam Bruno for taking great care of her in her final months.

She will be remembered for her love of hot air balloons, playing card games and fulfilling her bucket list. Mary loved spending her last days with her adored great grandsons, Noah & Keenan.

Visitation with Mary’s family will be on Wednesday, October 5th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Avenue in Colonie.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers that balloons be sent because Mary loved them so much.
