Durham, NC - Margie Adams, 71, passed away on November 10th, 2021 at Duke University Hospital, in Durham North Carolina after more than a year of terminal illness.
Margie is survived by her husband, James E. Adams, and children, Tinamarie Gillespie (Charles), Wilbur J. Brady Jr (Wendy), Ronald L. Fletcher (Laurie), Jameesha S. Harris (Aaron), Kimani Adams, and Ayana Harris (Lloyd). Margie is also survived by 16 grandchildren, Kyran, Kayla, Maya, Kyler, Kameron, Karlina, Carmello, Aj, Nyomi, Sarah, Tyler, Kalissa, Hailey, Olivia, Quincy, and Aleeya, and many special brothers and sisters.
Margie spent most of her life working in the medical field and becoming a caregiver in her later years. She had a passion for taking care of the elderly and making them feel special and started an arts and craft program at Albany Shaker Nursing Home during her tenure. Margie also left her stamp on this world as an author of her book “Vowed to Protect”, which details her youth. Margie was a giver and a lover of all.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, April 30th, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Schenectady. To leave a message of condolence for the family, visit, www.CannonFuneral.com
