Margaret "Peg" A. Dyer

Colonie - Margaret A. “Peg” Dyer, 89, passed away Friday, February 3, 2023.

She was the daughter of Edward & Amy Byron.

Margaret grew up on Bradford Street in Albany and was a graduate of Albany High School.  She was employed as a bookkeeper at RCA Services in Albany, retiring after 30 years of service.

She was a life member of the Fuller Road Fire Department with more than 60 years of service. She also enjoyed music and crosswords. She enjoyed life to its fullest with the Hart Social Seniors and Colonie Village Singers.

Besides her parents, she is pre-deceased by her Husband John “Jack” H. Dyer (1981), brother Robert “Bob” Byron two nephews Skip Dyer & Rusty Dyer.

She is survived by her sister-in- law and caregiver Gay Byron of Altamont; nieces and nephews: David (Rose) Byron, Gail Detlefsen, Tim (Dottie) Frender, Donna (Bill) LaCaze, Patricia (Bob) Walsh, and Linda Dyer as well as many grand- nieces and grand- nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Wednesday, February 8 at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Avenue, Colonie. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. A calling hour will be held from 11am to 12 Noon prior to the service.

Memorial donations may be made to either the Ronald McDonald House of Albany or The Fuller Road Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
