Margaret "Marge" M. Reale

Margaret Mary (née McAree) Reale, affectionately known as "Marge," passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023, in New Port Richey, FL, at the age of 91. She was born in Albany, New York, and was the beloved wife of the late August Reale.

Marge is survived by her devoted children: Suzanne (John) Pipas, Mike (Robin) Reale, Joe Reale, Jim (Kim) Reale, Lisa (Paul) Pazienza along with 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Her daughter, Sandy Reale, preceded her in death on September 7, 2015.

Marge's early years were spent at St. Vincent’s in Albany, NY and Utica, NY. After graduating high school, she began her career with the State of New York, where she met the love of her life, August Reale. They built a beautiful family together, raising their six children in Colonie, NY.

Known for her lively and creative spirit, Marge enjoyed various hobbies, from arts and crafts to lively games of Mahjong, Penny Slots, and Bingo. She embraced life's pleasures and cherished moments with family, often accompanied by a special "surprise me” cocktail. Remarkably, Marge maintained her independence and even continued to drive her cherished Buick until her passing.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday, November 30, 2023, from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Avenue, Albany, NY 12205. Immediately following, Margaret will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband, August, and daughter Sandy at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, 1389 Central Avenue, Albany, NY.
