Margaret A. Ruth

SCHENECTADY – Margaret (Peggy) A. Ruth, 64, of Schenectady, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Ellis Hospital. She was born in Schenectady and was the daughter of the late John and Barbara Duncan Ellis.

Peggy was a dedicated and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She had a special talent for crocheting and sewing, often sharing her work with family and friends. Peggy enjoyed frequenting garage sales and spending time with her family at their camp on Ballston Lake.

She is survived by her husband, George A. Ruth Sr. Peggy is the dear mother of Melody (Mike) York and George A. (Jennifer) Ruth, Jr. She is the cherished grandmother of Emma and Addison York and Holden Ruth. She was the sister of the late David Ellis.

Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 10:30 at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. Interment will be in Memory Gardens. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Peggy’s family on Friday from 4 to 7 pm at Cannon Funeral Home.
