DELMAR – Margaret T. Manning, 94, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Schenectady Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing.

She was born in County Mayo, Ireland and was the daughter of the late James and Mary Shevlin McManamon. Margaret had been a longtime active parishioner at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Delmar. She enjoyed many years of activities with the St. Thomas Seniors. Margaret was a kind caretaker for her good friend Mary. She loved to travel to her hometown in Ireland to touch base with her family. She also loved to dig into the soil to plant her flowers. Most of all, she had a great love for her children and grandchildren. She will be terribly missed.

Margaret was predeceased by her husband John J. Manning Sr. and her children, Dianne M. Manning, James P. Manning and John J. Manning Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Eileen Veedeer and Cici (Rick) Swett; her grandchildren, Amanda Veeder, Jeffrey Relation, Monica, Sean, Carson and Braedon Manning and the late Michelle Manning. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Margaret’s family on Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 4 to 6 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 9:30 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Delmar. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
