Linda L. Lombardi

COLONIE-Linda Lee. Lombardi (Vincent) 77 of Colonie, peacefully passed at her son’s residence on 12/10/2020.

Linda miraculously survived a stroke at the age of 34 in 1976, she persevered and re-learned how to walk, talk and become independent despite the devastating handicap.  Linda was actively involved with the Stroke Club at Sunnyview for many years where she continued to thrive and inspire others.

Linda was born in Syracuse, New York to the late Theron D. Cowles and Francis Cowles; widow of Gerald Vincent and Julius Lombardi; mother of the late Cheryl Allen (Terry), survived by Gerald Vincent (Danielle), Michael Vincent (Tracy),  Ronald Vincent (Jennifer), Tricia Sivers (Jeff), Todd Vincent (Jolean).   Sister to the late Alfred Cowles, survived by Peter Cowles (Jean), James Cowles (Cathy), Paul Cowles (Dawn).  She was the grandmother to Adam, Jillian, Gabrielle, Michael, Amber, Tiffany, RJ, Todd, Greg, Derick, Jared, Sevin, Amethyst, Grace, Michael, Andrew, Shylo, Thomas, Brooke, Sara, Ashley, Victoria and six great grandchildren.  She also had many cherished nieces and nephews.  Linda is survived by her many friends from City Harvest Family Church and special friends from Bishop Broderick Apartments. Would also like to thank Darren Messercola, Case Mgr/RN and Nick Natale, SW from Hospice for their caring support during this difficult time.

Memorial services will be Friday, December 18, 2020 at 5:00 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave. Colonie. Relative s and friends are invited to visit with Linda’s family on Friday from 4:00 to 5:00 pm at the funeral home. Face masks are required and social distancing will be observed.
