Kathleen A. Follett

COLONIE – Kathleen A. Follett, 58, of Colonie passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at her residence, following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Kathy was the daughter of the late Earle and Catherine (Coyle) Sleeper. She was born May 7, 1959 in Albany and graduated from Albany High School. On January 15, 1977, Kathy was united in marriage to Phillip Michael (Mike) Follett. An Albany resident for most of her life, Kathy worked for thirty years for the State of New York, Department of Environmental Conservation. She was a CSEA Union President until her retirement in 2014.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband, Phillip Michael Follett; her daughter, Linda (Follett) Deitz, her grandchildren, Dakota and Aiden; her sister, Anna Bachteler; her sister in law, Barbara Dukett; two aunts, many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister, Jacqueline DeCenzo (late Henry DeCenzo).  The family would like to acknowledge and thank the Sullivan and O'Connell families for all of their kindness and support.

Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 9:00am at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave. Colonie. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady, Help of Christians Cemetery, Glenmont. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
