Kathie A. Wood-Campion

COLONIE – Kathie A. Wood-Campion, 73, of Colonie, died unexpectedly on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at her residence. She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Helen Dolan. Kathie lived in Florida for several years before returning to the Albany area.

She was predeceased by her first husband Lou Wood, her daughter Connie Wood and her sister Joan Sherwood. Kathie is survived by her husband Thomas F. Campion. She is the mother of Christopher Wood and Maura Wood. Kathie is the sister of Ida Schwarz. Several grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

Kathie was a Life member and longtime Secretary of the Shaker Rd.-Loudonville Fire Dept. and a life member of their Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of the Fuller Rd. Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary, Red Vests, Royal Order of Nutbusters, and Hudson Mohawk Volunteer Firefighters Association. Kathie was Past President of the Hudson Valley Volunteer Firefighters Association, Ladies Auxiliary of the Albany County Volunteer Firefighters Association, Royal Order of the Knight Hawks and the Director at Large, Area 8 of the Volunteer Fire Police Association, State of New York.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, January 03, 2024 from 3 to 6 pm at Shaker Rd.-Loudonville Fire Dept. Fire Department services will begin at 6:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at 7:00 pm., at the Fire House.
