Joyce W. Quinn

COLONIE – Joyce W. Quinn, 75, of Colonie, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at Albany Medical Center.

Born in Ashland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Earl B. and Gladys M. Archer Weimer. Joyce was a member of the All-Ohio State High School Orchestra as a violinist. She attended Bowling Green University and was a graduate of Regents College. She later worked at Dun & Bradstreet in Syracuse where she met and married her husband Daniel Quinn on October 2, 1976. She worked for the Colonie Youth Center, Mang Insurance and the former Our Lady of Mercy Church as a secretary.

Joyce was a devout Christian. She enjoyed British Mysteries (Brit Box), baking, knitting, crocheting, painting and time spent as a Girl Scout assistant troop leader for several years in Colonie.

She is the beloved wife of 48 years to Daniel Quinn. Joyce is the beloved mother of Kerry A. (Fred) White of Saratoga Springs and Kevin M. Quinn of Irvine, CA. She is the cherished grandmother of Briana and Colin White, Connor & Ellie Quinn. Joyce is the sister of Janice Sherman of Salem, OR and the late Daniel Weimer and Barbara O’Dell. She is the sister-in-law of William O’Dell of Omaha, NE., Martin (Judy) Quinn of Walworth, NY and Maureen (Thomas) Reinhardt of Eustis, FL. Several nieces and nephews also survive

Funeral services will be Friday morning at 10:00am at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Joyce’s family on Thursday from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
