Josephine (Liotta) Passamonte, 98, formerly of Albany Street in Niskayuna, died Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Kingsway Arms Nursing Home in Schenectady after a short illness.
Mrs. Passamonte was born to parents Salvatore and Filippa Liotta and lived all of her life in the Schenectady area. She graduated from Vocational High School in Schenectady with a diploma from the dressmaking department. She was a member of Trinity Christian Church in Colonie for many years and more recently attended Calvary Tabernacle in Schenectady.
Survivors include daughters, Ruth Lex of Schenectady and Joyce Gay (Rev. Charles Gay) of Florida, formerly of Colonie; seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband, Salvatore (Sam), her son, Paul, and her brothers Soddie, John, and Charles Liotta.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Calvary Tabernacle, 1840 Albany Street, Schenectady on Tuesday, June 20, 2017. Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, June 19, at the Church. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park, Colonie.
