John "Jack" B. Van Denburgh, Jr.

GUILDERLAND – John “Jack” B. Van Denburgh, Jr., 79, of Guilderland, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2023.

Born in Albany on May 28, 1944, he was the son of the late John and Anna Van Denburgh Sr. Jack graduated from Guilderland High School in 1962. He was field technician for the Bell System Companies for over 31 years and retired from Bell Atlantic in the fall of 1997. Jack was a proud member of the Army National Guard, 210th Armored, fulfilling his service commitment.

He was predeceased by his beloved companion, Edith Thomas. Jack is survived by his sister, Mary Estelle Liebenhagen; his son John B. Van Denburgh III and his wife April Van Denburgh; his son Eric J. Van Denburgh and his wife Jessica Van Denburgh; his grandchildren whom he adored Candace Race, Kyndra Race and Kyra Van Denburgh; his great granddaughter Ivy Hunt. He is also survived by his nephew M. Fred (Christine) Fischer, his nieces Sheri Fischer and Dawn (John) Callahan.
